What we collect today
MakeItRandom runs entirely in your browser. Every tool — the alias generator, password generator, username generator, and address generator — computes its output on your device. Nothing you type into any tool is uploaded, logged, or sent to a server.
We do store two small pieces of information in your browser's local storage, not on a server:
| Name | Purpose | Storage |
|---|---|---|
tools-theme | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode | Browser localStorage |
makeitrandom-consent | Remembers your cookie-consent choice, so we don't ask again | Browser localStorage |
Advertising
This site uses Google AdSense. The AdSense script loads on every page, and once ads begin serving Google may set cookies and use device identifiers to select and measure the ads you see. That data is handled by Google, not by us — we never receive it. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, Google's own consent tool will ask your permission before using your data for personalised advertising. You can review or change how Google uses your data for ads at any time at adssettings.google.com.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookie-free and does not build a profile of you or track you across other websites.
Hosting
This site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web host, Vercel processes the technical information your browser sends with each request — including your IP address, user agent, and the page requested — in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this data for any other purpose, and we do not combine it with anything else. See Vercel's privacy policy for how they handle it.
Your rights
We run no database and no user accounts. Apart from the request logs our host keeps (see Hosting above), the only data connected to you is what sits in your own browser's local storage — which you can clear at any time from your browser settings. Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA), you generally have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data a site holds about you, object to its processing, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because MakeItRandom keeps no database, most of these rights are already satisfied by simply clearing your browser data — but you can always reach us at the address below.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or want your data removed? Email contact@makeitrandom.site. We aim to reply within 30 days, the response window GDPR sets for data requests.
